We are a family law firm that has been a part of the Bakersfield community for more than 35 years. In 1956, our father, Ralph L. McKnight Sr., graduated from UCLA Law School and began his law practice in Bakersfield. His practice thrived and his clients comprised a literal "Who's Who" of Kern County's most influential individuals and businesses.
In 1977, our older brother, Ralph L. McKnight Jr., graduated from UCLA Law School and joined our father's law practice. Cleve D. McKnight and Benton F. McKnight joined the family law firm in 1984 and 1986, respectively. Today, Ralph L. McKnight Sr. is retired. In 1999, Ralph L. McKnight Jr. was elevated to Superior Court Commissioner. Cleve and Benton continue the family law practice.
