Concept motorcycle eliminates fear of falling

Of all the hazards that motorcyclists face, the most daunting may be gravity. Once you lose your balance while riding, it is quite likely you will experience a very nasty spill, and you may even be seriously injured. But what if there was a way to prevent your motorcycle from falling over? Well, reportedly, the BMW company has found a way to do just that.

Recently, BMW unveiled a concept motorcycle called the Vision Next 100, which remains balanced and upright at all times, even when stationary. This model even comes with a specialized suit that can cool or heat the wearer's body. And there are also automated safety features that can intervene to help riders avoid dangerous situations.

No doubt some purists view such developments with revulsion. After all, riding a motorcycle is a skill that is refined with experience, and anyone who wants to get in the saddle should earn his or her abilities by putting in the time. However, others, who have long wanted to ride, but have been hesitant due to the dangers, may welcome the opportunity to hit the road on a powerful two-wheeler without the fear of falling.

But while such technology may be able to keep riders upright, there will always be hazards posed by reckless or distracted drivers and all motorcyclists are physically exposed during a collision. The impact of a car or truck could leave a rider with catastrophic injuries requiring extensive medical care.

If a negligent motorist was responsible for injuring you while you were riding a motorcycle, it is important that you receive a level of compensation that can help cover your medical expenses. An experienced California personal injury attorney can assess the costs of treatment and work on your behalf with insurance companies in an effort to maximize your settlement.
